Incro celebrates 50 years of leading innovation in industrial water treatment

By 2 December 2025No Comments

Incro, a Spanish company specialized in engineering and manufacturing equipment for industrial wastewater treatment, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Since its founding in 1975, the company has undergone constant evolution, transforming industrial water challenges into technological solutions that deliver real value to clients worldwide.

A half-century journey
Originally founded in 1975 to develop and license technologies in sectors such as fertilizers and industrial wastewater, the company has evolved to become a benchmark in industrial water treatment.
Along this path, Incro Water has adopted innovative approaches such as Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC), a technology that produces high-quality distilled water for reuse in processes, significantly reducing discharge costs while maintaining very low power consumption and operating costs.

Likewise, Atmospheric Dehydration Technology (ADT) is ideal for reducing discharge volumes in facilities where water cannot be reused in the process.
Both technologies aim to achieve zero-liquid-discharge projects, contributing to sustainability and operational efficiency.

Today, after five decades of activity, the company reaffirms its commitment to energy efficiency, water circular economy, and technical excellence.

Impact and technological leadership
Over these 50 years, Incro has developed and supplied an extensive range of solutions for industry, collaborating with leading companies and participating in major R&D projects.
The company’s technological approach—focused on recovering high-quality water, reducing water and energy footprints, and closing industrial cycles—aligns perfectly with current sector demands and the transition toward more sustainable models.
The celebration of this anniversary also comes with renewed momentum toward innovation: Incro Water is participating, for example, in the project “AQUAHUB: Innovation in Wastewater Treatment and Circular Economy,” which combines advanced technologies, resource recovery, and digitalization.

Looking to the future
With half a century of experience, Incro faces the coming years with a clear vision: helping its industrial clients transform, optimize their water processes, and achieve minimal or zero discharge levels. The commitment to water circular economy and the production of high-quality reusable water are strategic pillars.
The company, headquartered in Madrid, with a production center in Spain and a branch in Germany, is positioned to continue expanding its international presence, integrating new digital technologies, and collaborating with global partners. Projects are currently underway across five continents.

Acknowledgment to clients, team, and partners
“This 50th anniversary is a milestone we want to share with our clients, partners, and team. Thanks to their trust, commitment, and talent, we have been able to transform water challenges into valuable solutions.”
Incro Water also emphasizes that its most important asset is its technical and engineering team, many of whom have decades of experience with the company, ensuring continuity, know-how, and quality in every project.
